Applesauce Raisin Cookies II Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- ¾ cup shortening
<br>- 1 cup packed brown sugar
<br>- ½ cup applesauce
<br>- 1  egg
<br>- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
<br>- ½ teaspoon baking soda
<br>- ½ teaspoon salt
<br>- ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
<br>- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
<br>- ½ cup chopped raisins
<br>- ½ cup chopped walnuts

<br>step 1: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
<br>step 2: In a large bowl, mix together the shortening, brown sugar, applesauce and egg until smooth, Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and cloves; stir into the applesauce mixture. Drop dough by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.
<br>step 3: Bake for 10 to 12  minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
