Blue Ribbon Fruit Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- ¾ cup butter
<br>- 1 ½ cups packed brown sugar
<br>- 4  eggs
<br>- 4 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
<br>- 2 cups all-purpose flour
<br>- 2 teaspoons baking powder
<br>- 1 teaspoon salt
<br>- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
<br>- ½ cup candied pineapple
<br>- 1 cup raisins
<br>- 1 cup chopped walnuts
<br><p></p>Directions
<br>step 1: Combine melted butter and brown sugar in large mixer bowl; blend well.  Add eggs; beat well.
<br>step 2: Melt chocolate in top of a double boiler over hot (not boiling) water; add to egg-sugar mixture.
<br>step 3: In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon; gradually add to chocolate mixture.  Stir in candied pineapple, raisins and nuts.
<br>step 4: Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheet.  Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 8-10 minutes or until almost set.  Cool slightly on cookie sheet.  Remove from cookie sheet; cool on wire rack.
