Carrot Casserole with Cheese Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- 8 cups sliced carrots
<br>- 1 large onion, diced
<br>- 1 tablespoon butter
<br>- 1/4 cup heavy cream
<br>- 1/2 teaspoon salt
<br>- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
<br>- 1 1/2 cups processed cheese food
<br>- 1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs

<br>step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
<br>step 2: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.  Add carrots and cook until tender but still firm, about 15 minutes. Drain and place in a 2 quart casserole dish.  Stir in onion, butter, cream, salt, pepper and cheese; mix well.  Sprinkle bread crumbs over the top.
<br>step 3: Bake in preheated oven for 50 minutes.
