Cheese and Bacon Filling Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- 1 (3 ounce) can bacon bits
<br>- 2 tablespoons butter
<br>- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
<br>- 3 cups milk
<br>- salt and pepper to taste
<br>- ¼ teaspoon mustard powder
<br>- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

<br>step 1: Fry the bacon in a large skillet over medium high heat for 10 minutes, or to desired crispiness. Drain excess fat, crumble bacon and set aside.
<br>step 2: Melt the butter or margarine in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the flour, stirring constantly, to form a roux.
<br>step 3: Slowly add the milk, stirring often to avoid lumps. Then stir in the salt and pepper to taste, mustard powder and the cheese.
<br>step 4: Let simmer for 1 minute, allowing cheese to melt some, remove from heat, add the bacon and stir well.
