Chili con Carne III Recipe

Ingredients

<br>- 1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
<br>- 2 teaspoons tomato paste
<br>- 2 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces
<br>- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
<br>- 1 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
<br>- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
<br>- 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
<br>- 1 (14.5 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes with liquid, chopped
<br>- 1 pound lean ground beef
<br>- 1 (15.25 ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
<br>- salt to taste
<br>- ground black pepper to taste

<br>step 1: In a large skillet over medium heat, combine onion, garlic, and tomato paste. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
<br>step 2: Stir in butter until melted. Stir in flour, oregano, cumin, chili powder, tomatoes and beef. Cook uncovered for 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
<br>step 3: Stir in the beans and cook for another 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Salt and pepper to taste.
