Chocolate Jumbo Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- ½ cup shortening
<br>- ½ cup white sugar
<br>- 1 cup molasses
<br>- 1  egg
<br>- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
<br>- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
<br>- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
<br>- ½ teaspoon ground cloves
<br>- ½ teaspoon ground allspice
<br>- 1 teaspoon baking soda
<br>- 1 pinch salt
<br>- ½ cup hot water
<br>- 48  walnut halves

<br>step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
<br>step 2: Cream shortening and sugar together.  Add egg and molasses, mix well.
<br>step 3: Sift together dry ingredients, add to shortening mixture, alternating with hot water.  Mix well.
<br>step 4: Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet, cool. Frost with Butter Frosting and top each cookie with a walnut.
