Chocolate Pecan Pie IV Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie
<br>- ⅓ cup butter
<br>- 2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
<br>- 3  eggs
<br>- ⅔ cup white sugar
<br>- ½ teaspoon salt
<br>- 1 cup light corn syrup
<br>- 1 cup pecan halves

<br>step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
<br>step 2: Heat butter and chocolate over low heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate is melted; cool slightly.
<br>step 3: With hand beater, beat eggs, sugar, salt, chocolate mixture and corn syrup. Stir in pecans and pour mixture into pie shell.
<br>step 4: Bake until set, 40 to 50 minutes. Cool slightly. Serve warm, or refrigerate and serve with nondairy whipped topping.
