Congo Squares Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- ¾ cup butter, melted
<br>- 2 ¼ cups packed light brown sugar
<br>- 3  eggs
<br>- 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
<br>- 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
<br>- ½ teaspoon salt
<br>- 1 cup chopped walnuts
<br>- 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips

<br>step 1: Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan. Set aside.
<br>step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine butter or margarine and brown sugar; cool slightly. Beat in eggs, one at a time. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt; add to sugar mixture and mix well. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
<br>step 3: Pour into prepared pan. Bake  for 25 to 30 minutes. When almost cool, cut into 48 squares.
