Cranberry Orange Oat Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- ½ cup butter, softened
<br>- ½ cup white sugar
<br>- 1 cup brown sugar
<br>- ⅓ cup applesauce
<br>- 2  eggs
<br>- 2 tablespoons orange juice
<br>- 1 teaspoon grated orange zest
<br>- 2 cups all-purpose flour
<br>- 1 teaspoon baking soda
<br>- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
<br>- 1 dash ground nutmeg
<br>- 2 cups rolled oats
<br>- 1 cup fresh cranberries, roughly chopped

<br>step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
<br>step 2: In a large bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar and brown sugar until smooth. Mix in the applesauce, eggs, orange juice and orange zest one at a time, mixing well after each. Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg; gradually stir into the orange mixture. Fold in oats and cranberries. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.
<br>step 3: Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
