Deep Dish Cherry Pie Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- 1 pastry for a double crust 9-inch pie
<br>- 1 (20 ounce) can pitted sour red pie cherries
<br>- 1 cup water
<br>- 1 cup white sugar
<br>- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
<br>- 1/4 cup butter

<br>step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
<br>step 2: Combine sugar and cornstarch. In a medium bowl, combine cherries and water. Toss with sugar mixture. Pour filling into pastry-lined deep dish pie pan. Dot with butter or margarine. Cover with top pastry. Seal edges and cut steam vents in top.
