Eighth Race Pie Recipe
Ingredients
- ¼ cup butter
- 1 cup white sugar
- 3 eggs
- ¾ cup light corn syrup
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup chopped pecans
- 2 tablespoons bourbon
- 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie
Directions
step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
step 2: Cream sugar and butter or margarine together until light and fluffy. Beat eggs, and add with corn syrup, salt, and vanilla to the creamed mixture; beat well. Stir in chocolate chips, nuts, and bourbon. Pour filling into crust.
step 3: Place pie on lowest rack in oven. Bake for 45 minutes.
