Frijoles II Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- 1 1/2 cups dry pinto beans
<br>- 1/2 teaspoon white sugar
<br>- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
<br>- 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
<br>- 2 slices smoked bacon
<br>- 2 cups water
<br>- salt to taste

<br>step 1: Place the beans, sugar, garlic, onion, and bacon into a slow cooker. Pour in the water, cover, and cook on High for 6 hours. Drain off 2/3 of the liquid, and discard bacon. Use a potato masher to mash beans to a chunky consistency. Season with salt to taste, and serve hot.
