Fruit Drops II Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 cups packed brown sugar
- 4 eggs
- ½ cup chopped candied citron
- ½ cup chopped walnuts
Directions
step 1: Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease two baking sheets.
step 2: Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and spices and set aside. In a large bowl, beat the sugar and eggs until thick. Gradually blend in dry ingredients. Fold in candied citron and walnuts.
step 3: Drop dough by teaspoonfuls 1-1/2 inches apart onto greased baking sheets.
step 4: Bake for 20-30 minutes until lightly colored. Cool on wire racks.
