G-ma's Rice Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
<br>- 2 cups long grain white rice
<br>- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
<br>- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
<br>- 1/4 teaspoon salt
<br>- 1 teaspoon black pepper
<br>- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
<br>- 4 cups water

<br>step 1: In a medium saucepan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat.  Brown the rice in the oil until there is a golden texture, stirring frequently. Reduce heat to low, and stir in tomato sauce, garlic, salt, pepper, and cumin. Stir in water. Cover, and cook for about 20 minutes.
