Ginger Cream Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- ⅓ cup shortening
<br>- ½ cup white sugar
<br>- 1  egg
<br>- ½ cup molasses
<br>- ½ cup water
<br>- 2 cups self-rising flour
<br>- ½ teaspoon salt
<br>- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
<br>- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
<br>- ½ teaspoon ground cloves
<br>- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

<br>step 1: Cream the shortening, sugar, egg, molasses and water. Mix in the flour, salt, ginger, nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon. Cover and chill for 1 hour.
<br>step 2: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C).
<br>step 3: Drop teaspoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets about 2 inches apart. Bake for about 8 minutes.
