Irish Ginger Snaps Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- 1 cup white sugar
<br>- 1  egg
<br>- ¼ teaspoon salt
<br>- ¾ cup shortening
<br>- 2 cups all-purpose flour
<br>- ½ teaspoon baking soda
<br>- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
<br>- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
<br>- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

<br>step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
<br>step 2: Cream sugar, egg, salt and shortening together.  Add flour, baking soda and spices.  Mix well. Roll teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and roll the balls in sugar.
<br>step 3: Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 5 to 6 minutes.
