Loving Loaf Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- ½ cup melted butter
<br>- ⅓ cup white sugar
<br>- 1 ½ cups crushed vanilla wafers
<br>- 1 cup chopped pecans
<br>- 1 cup butter, softened
<br>- 2 cups white sugar
<br>- 4  eggs
<br>- 1 cup milk
<br>- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
<br>- 2 ⅔ cups all-purpose flour
<br>- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
<br>- 1 teaspoon salt

<br>step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease two 8x4 inch bread pans.
<br>step 2: Prepare the topping by combining the 1/2 cup butter, 1/3 cup sugar, vanilla wafers and pecans. Mix together well and press into the bottom of prepared pans.
<br>step 3: Cream butter and sugar together.  Add eggs one at a time and beat well. Combine milk and vanilla.
<br>step 4: Sift flour, baking powder, and salt.  Add to batter, alternating with milk; beat well.  Pour into prepared loaf pans.
<br>step 5: Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. Remove from oven and cool on wire rack.
