Mandelgeback Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
<br>- 11 tablespoons butter
<br>- ⅔ cup ground almonds
<br>- ½ cup white sugar
<br>- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
<br>- 1  egg
<br>- 5 tablespoons any flavor fruit jam

<br>step 1: Mix flour and butter or margarine.
<br>step 2: Separate egg.  Add almonds, sugar, vanilla, and egg yolk to the flour mixture.  Mix to dough consistency with hands.
<br>step 3: Cover and chil dough for 1 hour.
<br>step 4: Roll and cut into desired shapes.  Brush with egg white.
<br>step 5: Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) until done.  Let cool.  Spread jam on half of the cookies and top with other half.
