Marble Squares I Recipe

Ingredients

<br>- ¾ cup white sugar
<br>- ¾ cup packed brown sugar
<br>- 2  eggs
<br>- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
<br>- 2 cups all-purpose flour
<br>- 1 teaspoon baking soda
<br>- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

<br>step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
<br>step 2: In a medium bowl, cream butter with brown sugar and white sugar. Stir in the eggs and vanilla. Sift together the flour and baking soda, stir into the creamed mixture.
<br>step 3: Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top. Bake for 3 minutes. Remove from the oven and stir the chips into the batter to create a marbleized effect. Place pan back into the oven and bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes, until lightly browned.
