Marco Polo Peanut Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- 2 cups all-purpose flour
<br>- 3 teaspoons baking powder
<br>- ½ teaspoon salt
<br>- 1 cup white sugar
<br>- ½ cup packed brown sugar
<br>- ¾ cup shortening
<br>- 1  egg
<br>- ¼ cup milk
<br>- 1 cup bran flakes cereal
<br>- ¾ cup raw Spanish peanuts

<br>step 1: Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.  Cream sugars, shortening and egg.
<br>step 2: Add sifted dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternating with milk. Stir in bran flakes and peanuts. Mix well.
<br>step 3: Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 10-12 minutes until lightly brown. Store in airtight container.
