Marianna's Marinated Pasta Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- 1 (16 ounce) package dry fettuccini noodles
<br>- 2 tablespoons olive oil
<br>- 2 teaspoons butter
<br>- 1 lemon, juiced
<br>- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
<br>- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil, divided
<br>- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
<br>- 1 tablespoon salt
<br>- 1 1/2 tablespoons black pepper

<br>step 1: Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta, and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente. Drain, reserving 2 cups of water.
<br>step 2: Bring the 2 cups reserved pasta water to a boil. Stir in olive oil, butter, 1/2 the lemon juice and the garlic. season with 1 tablespoon basil, parsley, salt and pepper. Boil 1 minute.
<br>step 3: In a large bowl, combine pasta with sauce. Toss with remaining lemon juice and basil. Cover, and refrigerate 5 hours or overnight.
