Mock Cherry Pie Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- 1 ½ cups cranberries
<br>- 1 ½ cups raisins
<br>- 1 ½ cups white sugar
<br>- 1 cup water
<br>- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
<br>- 1 tablespoon butter
<br>- 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
<br>- 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie

<br>step 1: Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
<br>step 2: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the cranberries, raisins, sugar, water and flour. Cook until cranberries open and mixture thickens. Allow to cool and stir in butter and vanilla.
<br>step 3: Pour into prepared pie crust and cover with top crust.
<br>step 4: Cut slits in top crust and bake for 10 minutes. Lower heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake for 35 minutes longer or until crust is golden brown.
