Moravian Sugar Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- 4 ½ cups all-purpose flour
<br>- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
<br>- ¼ teaspoon salt
<br>- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
<br>- ½ teaspoon ground cloves
<br>- ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
<br>- 1 cup packed brown sugar
<br>- ½ cup butter
<br>- ½ cup shortening
<br>- 1 ½ cups dark molasses
<br>- ½ teaspoon distilled white vinegar
<br><p></p>Directions
<br>step 1: Mix together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, cloves and ginger.
<br>step 2: In a separate bowl, cream together the brown sugar, butter and shortening.  Add to the flour mixture and mix well.  Add molasses and vinegar.  Mix well.
<br>step 3: Cover and chill dough overnight.
<br>step 4: Roll out a small amount of dough to 1/8 (or less) inch thick.  Cut into desired shapes.
<br>step 5: Bake at 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) for 10 minutes or until light brown.
