Oatmeal Buttermilk Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- ½ cup butter, softened
<br>- 1 cup brown sugar
<br>- 1  egg
<br>- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
<br>- 1 teaspoon baking soda
<br>- ¾ teaspoon ground nutmeg
<br>- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
<br>- ½ teaspoon ground allspice
<br>- ⅔ cup buttermilk
<br>- 1 ½ cups rolled oats
<br>- ½ cup chopped walnuts
<br>- 1 cup raisins

<br>step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
<br>step 2: In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg. Combine the flour, baking soda, nutmeg, cinnamon and allspice; stir into the sugar mixture alternately with the buttermilk. Mix in the oats, walnuts and raisins. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheet.
<br>step 3: Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
