Oatmeal Sugar Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- 1 cup white sugar
<br>- 1 cup shortening
<br>- 2  eggs
<br>- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
<br>- 1 cup rolled oats
<br>- ½ cup raisins
<br>- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
<br>- 1 teaspoon baking soda
<br>- ½ teaspoon salt
<br>- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

<br>step 1: Cream sugar, shortening (may substitute 1/2 cup butter or margarine), eggs and vanilla thoroughly.  Mix in remaining ingredients.  Refrigerate 4 to 5 hours or overnight.
<br>step 2: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
<br>step 3: Shape dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls.  Place on ungreased baking sheet.  Flatten with greased bottom of glass dipped in sugar.  Bake for 10 minutes.
