Old Fashioned Fudge Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- 1 cup white sugar
<br>- ¾ cup butter, softened
<br>- 1  egg
<br>- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
<br>- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
<br>- 1 teaspoon baking powder
<br>- ¼ teaspoon salt
<br>- 4 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted

<br>step 1: Cream sugar and butter in mixer till creamy.  Add eggs and vanilla, beat till well-mixed.
<br>step 2: Blend in flour, baking powder, and salt.  Continue beating until well mixed.  Beat in melted chocolate on low speed just until mixed.
<br>step 3: Shape into slightly flattened balls (rounded teaspoonfuls).  Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 7-8 minutes or until set.  Cool for about a minute, then remove to wire racks to cool.
