Pohany Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- 2  eggs
<br>- ¼ cup white sugar
<br>- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
<br>- ⅛ teaspoon salt
<br>- ½ teaspoon lemon extract
<br>- 1 cup vegetable oil for frying
<br>- ⅓ cup confectioners' sugar for decoration

<br>step 1: Beat eggs until fluffy, add remaining ingredients and mix well.  Knead until smooth and elastic.
<br>step 2: Roll thinly on floured board. Cut into strips 1 x 5 inches.  Cut a 1 inch slit in the center of each strip and pull one end thru.
<br>step 3: Fry in 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) oil until golden brown. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
