Poppy Seed Cookies I Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- 1 cup butter
<br>- ½ cup white sugar
<br>- 2  egg yolks
<br>- 2 cups all-purpose flour
<br>- ¼ teaspoon salt
<br>- 3 tablespoons poppy seeds
<br>- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
<br>- ⅓ cup granulated sugar for decoration

<br>step 1: Cream butter, sugar, and egg yolks.  Add flour, salt, poppy seeds and vanilla.  Mix well.  Chill dough for one hour.
<br>step 2: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).  Grease cookie sheets.
<br>step 3: Form dough into teaspoon sized balls.  Place on cookie sheet and dip the bottom of a juice glass into sugar and press balls flat.  Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
