Salted Nut Bars Recipe
Ingredients
- CRUST
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup LAND O LAKES® Butter, softened*
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- TOPPING
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup butterscotch-flavored chips
- 2 tablespoons LAND O LAKES® Butter*
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 (11.5 ounce) can mixed nuts
Directions
step 1: Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray 13x9-inch baking pan with no stick cooking spray; set aside.
step 2: Combine all crust ingredients in large bowl. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press crumb mixture into prepared pan. Bake for 10 minutes.
step 3: Meanwhile, place all topping ingredients except mixed nuts in 2-quart saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until chips are melted and mixture is smooth (5 to 7 minutes). Stir in nuts until well coated.
step 4: Spread nut mixture over hot, partially baked crust. Continue baking for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely. Cut into bars.
