Sausage Plait Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
<br>- 2 tablespoons water
<br>- 10 tablespoons butter
<br>- 12 ounces pork sausage
<br>- 2 tablespoons ketchup
<br>- 2  tomatoes, peeled and sliced
<br>- 1  yellow onion
<br>- 2  hard-cooked eggs, chopped
<br>- 1 pinch Italian seasoning

<br>step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C)
<br>step 2: In a large bowl, mix flour, margarine and water to a firm dough, and knead until smooth and silky. Roll dough out to a 12 inch square, and place on a greased cookie sheet.
<br>step 3: Mix meat, ketchup and herbs. Place filling in the center of pastry, and spread so that there are 4 inches of dough on each side.
<br>step 4: Place tomatoes, chopped onion and eggs on top of the filling.  Cut 1 inch strips from the sides of the pastry, and lace over the top.  bake 30 to 40 minutes at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
