Seven-Minute Meringue Frosting Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- 2 egg whites
<br>- 1 pinch salt
<br>- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
<br>- 1/3 cup water
<br>- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
<br>- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
<br><p></p>Directions
<br>step 1: In the top of a double boiler,  combine all ingredients but the vanilla.     Beat 1 minute.
<br>step 2: Cook over boiling water beating constantly for 7 minutes or until the icing makes firm peaks.  Remove from the heat and add the vanilla.  Beat until able to spread.  NOTE: You can add coloring with the ingredients.  You can also use another flavoring in place of the vanilla.
