Spinach Pie I Recipe

Ingredients
<br>- 6 slices bacon
<br>- 3 cups spinach, rinsed and chopped
<br>- 3  eggs
<br>- 2 teaspoons white sugar
<br>- 1 teaspoon salt
<br>- ½ teaspoon onion powder
<br>- ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
<br>- ½ cup minced onion
<br>- 1 clove garlic, minced
<br>- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
<br>- 2 cups scalded milk
<br>- 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie

<br>step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
<br>step 2: Arrange bacon slices in a medium skillet. Fry over medium-high heat until browned and slightly crisp. Drain on paper towels, then crumble into bottom of pie shell. Cover with spinach.
<br>step 3: In a medium bowl, beat together eggs, sugar, salt, onion powder, minced onion, garlic, and pepper. Slowly add scalded milk. Pour mixture over spinach in shell. Top with shredded cheese.
<br>step 4: Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes, or until knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
